RRB Group D EXAM SCHEDULE FOR CBT 1 & INTRODUCTION OF CBT 2

RRBs has introduced CBT 2 in the selection process. Those who qualify in CBT 1 will be called for RRC Group D CBT 2.

In view of the large number of applications received, Railways have decided to conduct RRB Group D Exam in Two Stage Computer Based Tests (CBTs)

RRB Group D First Stage CBT (CBT 1) starting from 23.02.2022 : The Syllabus and distribution of questions for RRB Group D CBT 1 will remain same.

RRB Group D Second Stage CBT (CBT 2) : Syllabus : 10th Standard , same as (CBT 1)

Distribution of Questions CBT 2 :

Exam Duration in Minutes : 90

No of Questions (Each of 1 mark) from : General Science (30), Mathematics (30), General Intelligence and Reasoning (30), General

Awareness and Current Affairs (25)

Total Number of Questions : 120

Indian Railways to start Computer Based Test for notified vacancies from 15th December 2020

Indian Railways had notified 3 types of vacancies. These were 35208 for NTPC (non technical popular categories like guards, office clerks, commercial clerks etc), 1663 for Isolated & Ministerial categories (Steno & Teaches etc) and 103769 for Level 1 vacancies (track maintainers, pointsman etc). In all RRBs had notified a total of 1.40 lakh such vacancies for NTPC categories, Level-1 Posts and isolated and miscellaneous categories. Against the above vacancies, RRBs had received more than 2.40 crore applications. The Computer Based Test (CBT) for above vacancies had to be deferred due to Covid-19 pandemic and resultant lockdown which was imposed throughout country.

SOPs for conduct of examination of this magnitude are being framed. Norms of social distancing and other protocols prescribed by the various Central and State authorities need to be followed which are essential in the interest of safety of candidates.

Railway now proposes to commence 1st stage online computer based tests from 15 December, 2020 and necessary action has been initiated in this regard.

Eligibility Conditions :

Nationality

A candidate for appointment to Railway Services must be

(a) a citizen of India , or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan,  Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania or from Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age : 18 to 33 Years as on 01.07.2019
Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/07/1986 and not later than 01/07/2001 (both days including) are only eligible to apply.

Age relaxation is applicable 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Pwd (UR), 13 years for PwD (OBC), 15, years for PwD (SC/ ST) candidates & for others as per rules.

Educational Qualification :

10th Pass or ITI from Institution recognised by NCVT / SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
OR
10th Pass plus National Apprenticeship (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th Pass plus ITI  from Institution recognised by NCVT / SCVT.

The RRC Group D selection will be based on 3 stages as follows:
    Computer Based Test (CBT)
    Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
    Document Verification and Medical Examination

Scale of pay :
Pay Scale – Rs. 18,000/- (Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix) plus allowances as admissible

How to Apply : Eligible candidates may apply online through the concerned RRB website on or before 12-04-2019 by 23:59 P.M

Only single ONLINE application (common to all the notified posts ) has to be submitted by the candidates through the link CEN-RRC-01/2019 provided on the official websites of RRBs.

Examination Fee : For all candidates except the fee concession categories : Rs. 500/-

Out of this fee of Rs 500 an amount of Rs 400 shall be refunded in due course duly deducting bank chargesas applicable on appearing in CBT.

For PwBD / Female / Transgender / Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class.
The fee of Rs 250 shall be refunded in due course duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in CBT. 

Modes of Payment of Fees :
ONLINE fee payment through internet banking or debit/credit card or UPI. 
OFFLINE fee payment through (i) SBI Challan Payment mode in any branch of SBI.
(ii) Post Office Challan Payment mode in any branch of Computerized Post Office.

Closing Date and Time of Fee Payment :
The offline payment will be allowed till 13:00 hrs. of 18.04.2019 and
Online payment will be allowed till 23.59  hrs. of 23.04.2019
for candidates who register successfully till 23:59  hrs. of  12.04.2019.
After making  payment, these candidates should submit their completed applications on or before 23.59 hrs. of 26.04.2019.
All applicable service charges for fee payment through the mode of payment chosen shall be borne by the candidate.
If the fee is paid through off line mode the receipt should be preserved.
The same should be produced on demand at the time of document verification.
